The Animal Shelter A.P.A.D. is a non-profit organization
A.P.A.D. was founded in 1991 by a few volunteers with the objective to save abandoned, neglected and abused dogs from the streets of Denia, to nurse them back to health and to take care of their well-being during their stay in A.P.A.D., and most importantly to find them loving forever homes. A.P.A.D. is a non-profit dog shelter; we depend on private donations to be able to give the best possible care to our dogs.
At this moment we house more than 140 dogs that are waiting for their forever homes that provide them with safety, care, love and treat them with respect and responsibility.
We have dogs of all ages:
We have dogs of all ages in our care, puppies and young dogs that are in the learning phase of their lives and that need your patience, care, education, protection and love. They will require quite a bit of attention but the joy, gratitude and loyalty you get back from them is priceless.
But we also have many fantastic adult dogs looking for a forever home that gives them peace, love and protection. Usually these dogs are already used to living with families and house trained. They are usually also calmer and have an established character. These wonderful dogs will reward you every day for the rest of their lives with their love, loyalty and devotion.
And not to forget our most senior dogs, for them we are urgently looking for adoption or foster families that can give them protection and love so that they don´t have to die in a cage and can spend the end of their lives in dignity.
