At APAD, we are dedicated to providing love, care, and a safe haven for animals in need. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving, permanent homes for animals, ensuring they have forever homes. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the support and dedication of volunteers to achieve our goals.
**Who can you expect as a Volunteer Board Member ?**
By joining our board, you will have the opportunity to:
– Collaborate with like-minded individuals who share your passion for animals and want to have a lasting impact on the welfare of animals, both in the present and the future.
– Assist sick, abandoned, and vulnerable animals, which can be emotionally rewarding.
– Receive the unconditional love of the animals under your care.
**What we are looking for:**
We are looking for individuals who:
– Have a love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
– Are willing to contribute their time and expertise voluntarily and without financial compensation.
– Have skills or experience in other nonprofit organizations or shelters, or in areas such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology. However, we welcome different types of skills and backgrounds relevant to the operation of a shelter.
– Have a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
– Have knowledge of two or more languages, with Spanish and English or German being an essential requirement.
